How Do I? Timing Marks??

I am replacing the head gasket on my 1998 4.6 hsc and I know I need it at top dead center before I tear any further into this. I have disconnected most everything holding the intake plenum on but am having troubles finding a socket to take the 6pt star like bolts out. Humm

Anyway for the timing I figure I'd turn the crank with a socket until I see the timing marks meet up that way I know it is at top dead center. However I can't seem to find the timing marks on the harmonic balancer. ANY help will be appreciated..
