anybody know were i can buy these supposevely tools for doing this timming belt ? Somebody said that i do not need thse tools if i'm not changing the sproket or something ? Any Info on this would be appreciated tks:)

You have 90 in your name, so is it a 90 or a Freelander and which engine?

We will post the Timing Belt pages for you. The 1.8 is just putting a couple of marks together, the others need a couple of pins, you can use twist drills.

Sorry i have a 03 freelander with a 2.5 6 cyln.

There are 3 belts on a KV6. You need the special plates and spreaders to change the rear belts.

Not a nice job.:(

Rather you than me, horrible job on a v6. I'd take it somewhere to get it done that have the right tools, saves a lot of hassle even if it is slightly more expensive than buying the tools to do it.

tks a millions guys after four land rover forums in the US you guys have come through ! The reason i want the kit is that were i am in Montreal,Canada theirs nobody that fixes them i mean nobody.except the dealer of course.
So i figure since a have a shop with some Land rover Knowlege I have owned 2 RR,and one D1 96 and a freelander.I might just get into fixing these beast!
Ill do mine first and start advertising after that i can do timming belts on these suckers for half of what the dealer charges. I just started a LR club and were pretty apawled at the dealers here to say the least.theres only 2 dealers and they have by us the balls. So whatever i can learn on myself i will.
might even buy an autologic eventually so we don't have to deal with them at all!
