Transportation and Sat Nav

Moring all,
New to this forum (or any forum for that matter) but have drawn a blank on my issue with search engines etc. I have a 2016 Disco 4 Landmark (L319) which recently had to be transported on a low loader as the dreaded EPB had seized. No worries there though all fixed, but the transport of the vehicle (due to no wheels on the tarmac) has caused the Sat Nav to think that my location is not where it should be.
This problem is referred to in the owners handbook but does not offer any advice or solution to the problem, so my question is, does anyone have one without me having to take it to my local JLR dealer to 'diagnose' at £215 and hour?
To add I have been driving for almost two weeks now since this occurred and it has not now 'reset' in any way.

Hi, and welcome to LRUK. 🙂

You could try the old "hard reset" trick....disconnect both battery connections. (- first) Then, holding the leads as far away from the battery as you can, touch both cables together. Hold them together for 10-15 seconds or so. Then reconnect to your battery. (+ First)

This clears the capacitor of any charge, clear the satnav memory and will reset the unit.

It will also clear any other presets, fuel settings etc etc, and any other memories the ECU has stored....so you might not want to try it.

See what others here say, and maybe Google it to find more info. I've done it to clear faults in other vehicles without any issues, but nowt as expensive as a D4.

Thanks for the welcome and suggestion, I have considered that but was hoping someone had a less 'do or die' solution 🙂

Think they have an SD card? If so, it may be worth pulling that? Again, maybe a bit drastic

Might be worth having a Google (again!) for a software set up disc, pretty sure they came with one originally. Pretty sure, not 100% sure, to clarify. Again, maybe Google...

( I'm good at suggesting Google, me)

try pressing the power on and volume up buttons for 10 seconds i have not tried this . i got it from google its supposed to reboot the satnav.
