Hi all, I hope I can pick some brains. Im trying to save some money by resurrecting an old 12 volt battery. It's a pretty standard JCB sealed heavy duty 12 volt. It's different from all the other old batteries that I have lying around in that I know it hasn't had a hard life, although it's done nothing for a year.
Anywho it's completely flat, and im trying to figure out why it wont charge. I plug it into the above mentioned charger (which works fine on semi-flat batteries) and the unit just hums away. The dial measuring ampage going through the battery stays firmly on 0, without even twitching as u turn it on or off.
It is a sealed battery, but it sloshes well and shows no outward signs of damage. Ive cleaned the contacts up. It worked the last time it was in use, which was on a grain dryer last summer.
Batteries are a something I don't know much about, so any suggestions are very welcome! Many thanks.
