V6 buying- look or run?

Further to another thread I have on here.......

Found a Y reg 2.5 V6, 98000 miles on the clock, up for £4900. I do 9-10k a year, and intend off roading....

LOOK AND TEST DRIVE OR RUN TO FIGHT ANOTHER DAY?

the only way i would have a v6 petrol is if it had a Lpg conversion fitted i would rather go for the oil burner td4 a lot esyer to sel on in a few years time

Give it a Test. The mileage is a bit high for my liking.

They are very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very (get the drift!) thirsty. Nothing has gone mechanically 'wrong' with mine to date, but I would never have another one bacase of the fuel costs!

Theres a lot of lower milage out there at same price but if seviced correctly should still be a good motor....Definitely worth looking at LPG though....a few gone on Ebalg recently for around 6k mark with LPG and would recoup extra outlay in no time....beware older LPG systems with computer thingy for each bank....a lot have gone t1ts up recently and neded replacement.
