V8 Xfer box on to a LT77???

Can anyone advise if the V8 (90) Xfer box is the same as the one in a 1986 2.5 LT77 90??

Any responses much appreciated.
 
I think ... that although the V8 had the LT85 gearbox, it had the same transfer box as the LT77 (ie LT230).

BUT by the looks of it the LT230 when mated to the LT85 has some slightly different parts (adaptor plate, slightly different rods etc ...)

Sounds like it may be a goer then. Will the assorted bits be easy to swap?

The reason I ask is that if you put the hand brake on and then get someone to dap the clutch there is a definate 'clonking' noise coming from it. I have a V8 landy sitting outside on its way to a better place and thought I ought to take the Xfer box out before she departs.

Thanks for the help. If anyone can confirm for sure it would be hugely appreciated.
