It took 40 years, a very long time,
To admit we are each others valentine!
When Napoleon loved Josaphine in your card of 66
I should have realised it was you in my heart playing tricks,
Then in your car in the pouring rain,
you tried to tell me once again!
That was in the year of 1985,
Im sure we both knew our love was still alive!
Thank you St George you did the trick,
and proved to us both who made our heart tick.

& for making to-day our happiest ever Valentines day!

We did ours last night, I'll be getting in too late tonight.

Red Roses x 2 dozen
Bottle of bubbly x 1
Cards x 2 (1 from me 1 from the chump)

Nah we don't do Valentine's in this house either ... yet another rip-off day to con people into buying loads of tat ... :( Bah humbug etc etc ... :D
 
We do it, :loveu: but there's no expense incurred ie no tat, cards etc. This is the guy who bought me a set of tyres for my first wedding anniversary...:rolleyes:

(And don't ask what we do, if we don't buy the tat....)
 
its in the same bracket as xmas, halloween, bonfire night and easter, oh and mothers/fathers day, as far as im concerened. pointless cynical marketing scam. fortunately mrs bigpants is a tightfisted miserable yorkie the same as me!
 
rang SWMBO and wished her a Happy valentines and got the "waste of money" thing

just wait till she opens her card!!!!! :rolleyes: :D

My 8-year-old made this up for me:

BMWs are poo

I had a lovely card and some pressies but that is nothing unusual in this house because we often buy each other little cards and pressies and write poetry to each other. Don't do tat though - we get each other useful things but I did get a nice box of organic 70% dark chocolates.
