UK Vandals on The Wayfarer

I see the pictures have been removed from the site now. Good job I saved a copy and email them to the police and CCW.
By the way did anyone notice that the pictures have the website as a copy right on the top of all the pictures :D

Dooh...

I noticed, the number plates were also clearly viable.

They seem to be treating the SSSI through which the Wayfarer runs as a pay and play site :( :( :(

Hopefully the Police will do something:Smilepoli:Smilepoli:Smilepoli

There's too many tearing up the land around the summit and it's time an example was made....

AAaAAaaahhhhhhh Bloody inconsiderate noobs! I haven't seen the pics but just the thought makes my blood boil. I did notice last time I was up on the wayfarer that there had been a number of off piste tracks cutting corners! Incredible! :(

I'll email you some when i get home - lets just say they were on the rocks above the summit:eek: :( :(

Paul
have you thought to do a webmaster search of their website, and find out which ISP they are using as a host?

Arddleen tonight?

I can guess exactly where they were driving. I was up there last week and after admiring the work done by PH and others, I reached the summit and saw the state it was in. It seems to be all over the summit now. I was also wondering, when travelling from east to west (from C DC). Immediatley after dropping down on to the bridge the natural track goes to the left. I was wondering about the track to the right, going up a steep hill side? I am guessing this is'nt part of the track? Are the culprits part of a club?
I have tried the link but it says 'site removed as band width exceeded'?

Ian

Its just very disappointing that this type of thing is happening when lanes are getting closed.:(

I think these same type of people would still use them even if they were closed.:(

Just a pitty for the rest of us.

The track to the right after the concrete bridge is private. Access for the landowner (and friends on shoots) only.
Regards,

Are the culprits part of a club?

From what I saw before the site went down they are their own little club who seem to do a lot of play and pay sites - that's fair enough on private site but they seem to be treating a green lane and surrounding SSSI in the same way :( :(

Hi Ian,

I don't know if they drove that bit either, but it is NOT a right of way, but people are making a mess of it as well.

Paul

I suppose that track looks inviting for some people paul, and they don't stop to consider the real r.o.w. I find it amazing when there are so many good pay n play sites available, that people will cause that much damage to a famous route like the 'wayfarer'

The real RoW is so clear there's no excuse - trouble is some of the mud runs ae becoming so established its easier for idiots to kid themselves that its OK to drive them....

Just seen the pic,s that Steve frowarded to, what are these muppets doing to ours lanes, our image, and the future enjoyment of our kids, freinds and family, is pathetic. Just giving ammo to the 'do-gooders'  .

Quite a few groups/ clubs use this track runs parallel to the main one they should know better since at least one is afficiated to glass i spoke to them last october they claim they often went this way

over the new year quite a few shooting parties use these tracks. a couple of years ago some of these "shooting members" and their supporters decided it was great fun to mess about on the summit- hence why i try to avoid it during this period

its not just greenlanes which suffer this problem quite a few tarmac UCR's with large grass verges are suffering from "mud plugging"

That's worrying as they must be linked to the land owners?

Seen this on many country lanes....
