:D go for it... experiment with flavours etc... 'taste' is such a personal thing anyway that the perfect drink might only be possible if you make it yourself :)
I've made beer that tasted nice but because I struggle with the effects, and by choice dont have many visitors to share it with, I would end up with gallons of the stuff :rolleyes:

I once made a brewkit beer but put it into the polythene cube barrel too soon ... It must have continued to ferment for a while and then while I was at work it burst. I came home, walked into the door and immediately knew something was very wrong. It was a 1st floor flat. The landlady, a strict teetotal Christian type, who's room was directly underneath the flood, wasn't impressed :rolleyes:
 
I used to have, as a minimum, 15 gallons of wine and usually 20 gallons of beer/cider on at any one time. It was timed so that 5 gallons of wine were brewing for a week, five gallons were "aging" for a week and the other five gallons took a week to drink.

I brewed the beers and ciders straight into the pressure barrel as it was quicker, but it took a while to clear so there was always more of it.

I did try getting into distilling as well but without great success (I got some really strong spirits but it was always pretty rough!)

I stopped brewing though, can't really remember why but I've been wanting to get back into it lately.
 
I'm actually quite impressed, @Paul d, that must have taken some resolve. It was cider for me and I couldn't drink the stuff for years. I found plenty of other stuff, although when living in Aberdeen, I was quite happy being the designated driver.

Moving down to England, there wasn't much need to drive everywhere, so spending time in the pub was easy.

With those American muscle cars you've owned it's easy to see the money you've 'saved'.

You’ve made a point there .”designated driver “that’s my job but pishes me off when people just presume..😒.because I don’t drink .

I do love a car just wished I’d kept a few 😒

Must have a meet up sometime drive out do a few lanes bit of lunch , keep saying it 😏
