What boat/ship is this?

Bored with old cars, heard about planes and helicopters on here, so time for a change of interest.

Something different for AJC and Si Guru to google over.

And yes I have greyed out the number AJC, you have enough advantages.

I want name and type for ordinary people. Full CV of its history from AJC (including all crew and officers).

I think it looks quite pretty.

Kate

No it is not the Vital Spark you must have been glued to the telly at a young age

And no it isn't the Black Pearl - or the Black Pig either.

Abu is not too far off, hurry up before AJC comes back on, he probably won't even need to look in Jane's.

Come along, this is easy. Quick bit of googling....

She is HMS Matchless G52, M class. Built 1940/41, commissioned 1942. built by A Stephen and Sons of Glasgow. Sold to Turkish navy in 1958 and renamed Kilicipasa.

You were well in front at first attempt, but you know the rules are that you can't win straight away (unless you are AJC), and then there were all the really witty spam postings...

If Landyhunter doesn't want to put one up you can...

Oh and here she is, HMS Matchless complete with number. Kate

Okay, since we obviously have either some warship experts or people extremely adept at googling and searching 'Janes', here's another greyhound of the sea. Pennant number duly removed.

Roger.
