what's happened to tonight's quiz

as Satancom (joint winner of last night's) hasn't put anything up...

here are two

an easy car (make and model - I have one of these) and for those of you bored with obvious transport, although there is a link - here is a pic with a difference (artist and title please....)

Very close answers on the cars. Here is mine for extra clue, needs a bit polish and valet I think:D :D never liked cleaning cars, even small ones....The answer is NOT Corgi before some smarty comes up with that one (or Dinky).

One of you got the make, but don't forget rules of quiz are make and model. Any other details are for google show-offs....

On the artist - miserable narrow-minded lot - don't you like pictures, I mean paintings. Good joke Tycroes :D :D , close in terms of period, but not Cubism. If I were to give a constructive art clue..... it wouldn't take long to google. The title provides the transport link by the way. :bigwave:

...not a Matchbox! Looks like a Taxi rather than a police car.

As for the artist I don't know but it's very similar style to one my Father has glued on the living room wall from his college days (architect) Does Lighting90 know I wonder :)

I never did like quiz's :D

I thought AS at first, but you said it, ADA. The only other things it looks like is a Riley or Wolesley.

Chris

Well spotted Chris, but you know you have to get the model.

plum for around 1954.. def pre 1960

Yes, def pre 60!

The Corgi is a police car (apparently the old bill loved zapping round in these - before my time I hasten to add)

Re artist - were you thinking Bauhaus? similar period.

I hate quizes too, that's why I'm putting them up.:D :D Actually I hate mindless quizes, at least on here you learn a quick soundbite about something. Beats watching a Spanish soap (based in a hotel Crossroads style!).

Riley Pathfinder.... lovely motor.

Damn, if it's not AJC, it's you. OK you win the car section, but honours shared with Chris who had he not been suffering so personfully with such a terrible sniffle, would clearly have won outright immediately last night.

You philistines still haven't got the artist so I shan't bother to say who it is. And can somebody else put a nice quiz up so I can retire temporarily from being quizmistress and go and do tea.:)
