Where to put stands ?

Hi all,

If you have to jack the car with the four wheels off the ground, what are the best places to put it on stands (like the one attached here) ? I did it once on the four places where the LR jack has to be put (just near the wheels on the outside of the car) but when lowering the jack it was making cracking noises, that makes me not too sure anymore to put them there. When my tyres were changed I saw that they put stands on the places where suspension bushes are. Is that the place to put them pse ?

Thanks a lot for your answer, when they changed my tyres they put these stands under the (yellow arrows) bush housings as you can see in the attached (yours) picture. Will keep in mind to check whether there is a body 'plate' where you pointed to and will put some padding on the stands and support the car there. (Actually thinking of fabricating a kind of palette on small rotating wheels so that I can ly on it and drag myself under the car instead of backcrawling under it .... )
Have also a couple of ramps but these I can only use driving with the front wheels on it. But 4 in the air is easy to exchange tyres etc. also to check liquid levels (for example the IRD and the autobox and such).
