will new pas pump fit my old landy?

i recently replaced my pas pump on my 1991 200tdi defender only to have a seal fail less tham a month later letting air into the system making it spit steering fluid all over the engine and leaving two pools of power steering fluid on the drive way:Rant: , anyway i rung my dealer and he sent out another pump but he sent a V8 pas pump by mistake. so i was wondering whether it would fit on my landy?
anyone ideas?

Use paddocks website to compare the part numbers, bit ASFAIK they are different

the pump i should have has part no NTC8287 but the pump he sent has part number NTC9198 will it fit and work or not?

Different part nos = different part. The pump mounting and hose unions are likely to be in the wrong place.

You can make it fit but it'd mean that you have to change some of the pipes to the steering box. Ive got one from a V8 on mine and I had to change 2 of the pipes but that wasnt too much of a problem as they were still on the rangie i took it off.
