Thought this was an interesting video on using your front winch to winch backwards ..should you be in the situation when you can’t go forwards .

Ive often wondered if that would work ok. The method I saw required several pulleys / snatch blocks and looked very over-complicated!

This guy uses 3 points using SB and I can’t see the reason why ,he does make it look complicated…
I must try this in the summer ..maybe make a video .

Yes this does work. It puts a huge amount of strain on the vehicle, but in a pinch it does work. A much better way is to have the front mounted winch and a Tirfor style hand winch stored on-board for such an emergency.
