Defender 2007 Sliding windows

PDR

In Second Gear
Defender 2007
The rear sliding windows are difficult to move, is there an easy fix for this (other than leave them shut).

You can start by cleaning the window tracks out if you haven’t already ,bet your life you have plant life in there ..then silicone based lubricant of some description should do the trick to make them slide better .

Morning

I usually clean out the channels with a long bristled brush and jet washer as they will be full of moss and dirt. Then a lube up with silicon spray.

Jet wash the exposed channel when the windows are closed then, when all the crud has been removed from the channels, slide open the window and clean the channels on the open side with soapy water and the long bristled brush.

New felts after a thorough clean and lube..?

Can anyone explain why the felts are so expensive? o_O

RTC6462 (VINs EA344188 to 1A621960 (1988 to 2001 MY)) are stupidly priced for a strip of felt!

CZL000020 (after 2001) are a bit more reasonably priced. Whats the difference??

How different can they be..?
