Defender 90 2.4 Tdci Puma blue smoke

Wondering what the cause of excessive blue smoke on startup until engine is warm is on my Defender 90.
Was thinking piston rings but not 100% sure.
Thanks in advance.
 
before you look at major issues get a lynx on it reset the injectors it will probably stop smoking on start up worked on my 90 08 xs and 90 07 pick up
