Freelander '2' are there any body problems???

BIG_JIMMY

A simple question, but one that is important to me as an ex Discovery '1' and Defender 90 owner, both of which are known to have a terrible reputation for the dreaded RUST BUG, my question is with regards to the Freelander '2': -

Are there any known body problems with these or has the unitary construction method allied to better quality metal and various rust prevention techniques, have all of these put paid to any fears of the dreaded rust bug?

Many thanks for your learned replies.

All the best

BJ

Freelander 2 won't rust like a D1! Freelanders are zinc coated prior to being under sealed and painted. The things that are a pain in the F2 are bleeding the fuel system after filter change and accessing the oil filter
