Front wipers

Hi, I have a 4.4. tdv8 vogue, the front wipers keep stopping anywhere in the sweep area and after three times they will not even work, I have to stop the engine and restart the car.
Has anyone had similar experience of this.

This used to mean that there was excess grease on the stop mechanism on the wiper motor. But on a modern car I'd suspect the wiper control module.

If you have access to a very good code reader (not an OBD type reader but one specific to JLR) then you should see a fault code stored for something like this. Search the forum to see what code readers others are using and you may be able to find an affordable one, or borrow one from a buddy.
