If you have a standard or razor edge bonnet with a spare wheel on it and find that the standard buffers do not keep the side wall of the tyre from rubbing into the paint on your newly repainted bonnet….Then this is for you.
A lot of Series Land Rover owners have the ‘pie dish’ centre fitting but not the De-Luxe dish depression in their bonnets. Because of the curve in the non-dish bonnet the standard round 10mm rubber buffers are not tall enough to keep the tyre away from the paintwork. I had just this problem so created new extra height buffers (22mm) this allows the side wall of the tyre to clear the crown of the bonnet and also allows you to clean under the tyre without having to remove it, (see photo’s)

These buffers are brand new and are the same diameter as the originals.

They are supplied with dome headed slotted 5mm bolts (to keep that traditional look) in stainless steel, with stainless steel washers and nyloc nuts.
