A couple of days ago a friend of ours came home from walking her dogs to find her Defender damaged. Thieves had tried to steal the vehicle. Door, steering wheel and steering column damage. Not sure what security she had but they didn't get the car. However, they stole her roof tent and smashed the front windscreen. Bearing in mind its parked on quite a busy road and people must have seen what was going on why no one confronted the scroats or rang the police. Now facing repairs and insurance costs.
