I have been trying to sort out my Seiries two land rover numbers but have got rather confused
Chassis number is 141102…
Engine number is 151117…
I was told they had to be the same to be original but am doubting that’s true
The vehicle was registered in 1961 and am also guessing it was made in 1960
Unfortunately I can’t cross reference the engine number as it’s not on the V5C
Could this vehicle be original

Engine number fits for series 2
see attached
Chassis numbers did not match engines as there was also diesel engine versions.
You could try to get a heritage certificate but some times they do not add much detail.
Axles have numbers on rear side of casing on passenger side.
Differentials have numbers on top edge.
