Buying A Used Freelander

Buying A Used Freelander

Before you pass over any money for a used or second hand Freelander, check underneath and make sure it has both propshafts and the Vicous Coupling. There is a growing problem with them being removed from vehicles with transmission faults.

They run from the front of the vehicle, connecting at the gearbox, a large metal mass in the middle and connect to the rear diff.

If they are missing, DO NOT BUY the vehicle. It is very expensive to replace the parts.
