Can anyone identify this expedition?

I looked up the registration numbers and neither of the vehicles is on record in the UK.
They definitely look like factory registrations.
I know Oxford/Cambridge did more than one expedition.

Not Oxford or Cambridge, since these are SII/SIIA, and at least one is a 109.

Believe it or not, it looks to me like a siren or klaxon, but sirens are illegal in most jurisdictions, even in the third world.

I found this image, it does appear to be Expedition Eurasie. Also noticed the AA & RAC badges.View attachment 523141

Well done! That's definitely them, and the bilingual signage definitely indicates an Anglo-French or Belgian expedition. Was there any caption with the Alamy copy?
