Engine Preheater on 2.25 diesel

Does the 2.25 diesel go above 2000 rpm? (joke)
............................

Just to bring my engine pre-heater thread up to date.
Both heaters are still working as they should.
Either my wife or myself have become accustomed to venturing out to the LR/s on cold mornings in our dressing gowns to plug in the heater and switch it on. It only take about a minute to do.
I sometimes leave it on for an hour or more.
I haven't noticed a big increase in my electric bill at all.
We don't bother with a time switch.
I have fitted heated seats as well.
The prospect of going out for a drive on a horrid damp cold morning has been made much brighter with the two additions.
The driving experience has been much improved.

Fuel economy on the 200tdi is not really noticeable but with the original 2.25 diesel, mainly used for short journeys to the shops, I seem to be filling up a lot less.
However I haven't worked it out in any detail.
