We are two well-meaning Kiwis who are looking at buying a UK based Defender for use on our annual month long visits.
We have found what we believe is the right vehicle (a 1998 300Tdi 110), have had it checked over, and are ready to proceed with the purchase.
The trouble is that it does not seem quite as easy to register and insure a vehicle in the UK as it does here in the colony, and this seems particularly so given our non-UK-resident status and our NZ Driver's Licences.
Is there anybody out there in the know who can give us some helpful tips on how to go about insuring & registering our new old girl so we can come cruise around (and pop over to the mainland) relatively hassle free?
