Show us your Defender

This is my latest project and my first Defender, its a 1994 200TDI

Thank you. On LRWorkshop so clearly an original option. Is that any more effective than these? It certainly looks lighter.

Once you've 'slid' over an obstruction and the bar has done it's job isn't there a risk of the rock or whatever, getting wedged behind it as the vehicle comes back down? I've no experience of these - just asking. Wondering if the above offers any better protection and whether the extra weight is worth it.
 
There is always a risk with anything, you just need to take more care in choosing your line. I don't like the plate design as it would restrict the airflow to the sump, when there is low airflow the oil temperature increases dramatically, I prefer to keep it down as much as possible.
