I know it's not an alternative, but adding LPG/Propane to your system will enhance power and mileage, and reduce your emissions.
I have fitted 5 landrovers with it, and the results are amazing. Loads of power, and a lot better return on fuel.
When I went down to the LRO show, I did 190 miles before I needed to refill - running without gas. I refilled, and ran with the gas on. When I got to Peterbourgh I had covered a further 250 miles, and still had 1/4 tank of fuel. I used £6 worth of gas !

Not to my knowledge, It is designed for propane/lgp. Also,the attachment for the gas supply might not sit comfortably with everyone ! :eek:
