Thats a good Idea, it would be interesting to know when the engine was changed (bulkhead was chopped and bodged up at the same time!)
I will sort out what I need to do to apply for that information.
 
Last time I did that it was for a SIIa, got a full list of previous owners all colour changes, and modifications. IIRC we phoned the dvla and asked how to procede. Had to send them a cheque then, and I think it was £25. About 20 year ago though.

Found out the IIa used to be a Royal Mail vehicle...
