Accelerating Away
Found this option available for the Freelander 1 while thumbing through T4 the other day.
I enabled this option which seems to be available for the North American market only for some reason.
T4 screenshot showing options that can be enabled by clicking on the IPK temp sensor changed to "enabled".
T4 then goes through a series of screens which eventually rewrites the LCS coding.
Once enabled the IPK shows -30 for the moment, as there is no sensor connected.
The wiring appears to be present at least behind the instrument pack, but I need to investigate further. The sensor in the bumper is not fitted I do know that at least.
Once I establish the existance of any other wiring in the harness and obtain an exernal temperature sensor I'll update the post and eventually make a proper how to. If the existing wiring is not run all the way to the front of the car it would be relatively easy to remove the wire from connector CO230-pin 18, running a wire from this connector direct to the sensor and also including an earth lead.
