Dirtyberties engine thread

[Series 1 2 & 3]

A wire brush will clean the threads out a bit faster, but anything that will get the dirt out without removing any metal will be fine.
IME gunky-covered metal things are best washed/soaked in paraffin or diesel (I prefer paraffin, it is more "searching") for a day or two.
Most of the gunk will come off easily with a paint brush after a soaking.

I would imagine new head bolts will be going back in, so wouldn't waste your time cleaning old ones.

I wouldn't throw them away, they may be needed.
They are reusable many, many times over.
It depends on what shape or form the replacement engine comes in as to whether they are needed or not.

Im pretty sure that bertys origional head is going back on , so will keep them in order until we know whats happening .. thankyou
