In truth I think it was just called mid grey, LRC008.
I think I heard somewhere that they lost the codes for the dark grey for years, which is now LR0001, used between 1958 and 69 I think.
Nice 'used but tidy' 110 next to me at B&Q car park today, let me out at the fuel station too.

Yep quite rare to see one here unmolested, they nearly all had windows cut in as they were cheaper.

Oh man I know it! They fetch insane scratch now. She was a beaut too - fire engine red with a tan rollback roof, Westfalia interior, and late model type IV drivetrain for drivability. Still one of the only vehicles of the fifty odd units I've owned that I wish I still had. Oh well... you can't keep em' all!
The trick is to call going to the toilet "going to the gym". That way you can say with honesty every day "I went to the gym this morning."( don't be daft - I didn't actually go into the gym)
